She has anchored flagship business and market programs for CNBC Africa and BusinessDay TV, engaging regularly with industry leaders, CEOs, and political figures while covering major economic, business, and investment stories.
In 2022, she founded Base Media Communications, leveraging her expertise and sharp conversational skills to drive impactful discussions for corporate clients. Whether conducting high-stakes interviews, moderating industry-shaping panels, or hosting corporate events, she brings credibility, depth, and insight to every platform.

Having been the face of BusinessDay TV’s flagship markets and business news shows, she’s been in regular conversation with industry leaders, CEOs and political figures; and at the forefront of the biggest economic, business and investment news stories.
While being in front of the camera is her forte, she brings both her knowledge and conversational skill to all events she hosts with authority. Alishia has been the MC and moderated discussions at live conferences, events and webinars for various companies including Discovery, Sanlam, Momentum Metropolitan, Deloitte and Standard Bank.
