Long Street Premium Lead Vocals & Guitar:
Jeremy Olivier is a soulful singer-songwriter who rose to fame during the very first season of The Voice SA., where he won hearts of the viewers, finishing as the winning contestant in Team Lira and achieving his spot in the final Top Four.
With an honours degree in jazz performance, he is a skilled accomplished guitarist and vocalist, having performed with the likes of George Benson, Katherine Jenkins, Daniel Bedingfield, Jonathan Butler, Lira, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Loyiso Bala, Sibongile Khmalo, Ard Matthews, FreshlyGround, Mango Groove, Johnny Clegg, and many more.
He has six singles currently playing on radio including Cape Town favourites, ‘Serendipity’, ‘Look at Us Now’ and ‘Can’t Help Myself’.
Long Street Premium Lead Vocals:
Bev Scott-Brown graduated head of her class in performance at Wits University Music School. She is a sought-after performer & singer, having been heard on both radio & TV with her album tracks and jingles.
She is an established gig artist in Cape Town, having ‘paid her dues’ over the last many years and she has performed for many years with well-known Cape Town bands. People liken her style to Norah Jones, Renee Olstead, Katie Melua, in terms of genre.
She has a distinct voice and a well-defined vocal style. Bev’s charm as a singer lies in her ability to deliver a vocal performance that is honest, unaffected and eloquently understated.
Long Street Premium Bass & backing Vocals:
Shaun Johannes is an incredibly talented bassist who has shared the stage with artists such as Johnny Clegg, Jonathan Butler, Katherine Jenkins, Loyiso Bala, Sibongile Khumalo and many more.
He obtained a BMus (Cum Laude) and MMus in Performance and Dissertation from UCT’s College of Music in 2010 and he has performed at countless festivals with many notable functions such as the opening of parliament in 2004/2005, performing for Nelson Mandela & Oprah Winfrey.
One of his many milestone performances was with the legendary jazz guitarist and vocalist, George Benson and his musical director, Randy Waldmand at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in 2010.
Drums
Frank Paco is a UCT College of Music graduate whose impressive career includes highlights such as the 46664 Mandela AIDS concert, performing with many of the world’s greatest magicians such as the legendary band, Queen, Bono of U2, Jimmy Cliff, Angelique Kidjo, Dave Stewart, Andrew Bonsu, Johnny Clegg, Brian May and Peter Gabriel.
He has played with guests such as Jonathan Butler, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and many more at festivals and concerts all over the world.
He has also sessioned on more than 40 albums, 10 of which received awards and 4 were nominated now part of Long Street Premium
Keys / Piano
Andrew Ford is well-known and respected on the South African jazz scene and he performs regularly in and around Cape Town with Long Street Premium band
He has conducted various orchestras including The Cape Town Symphony Orchestra and he has performed with international artists including Katherine Jenkins, Ronnie Jordan, Opie Bellas, Holly Penfield, Janet Jackson, Shakattack, Sergio Mendez as well as local phenomenon’s such as Sibongile Khumalo, Louise Carver and Lloyd Cele.
He currently runs The Nut House Recording Studios in Cape Town and he has composed and produced over 900 music soundtracks for television, cinema and radio for which he has earned awards for music and post-production from Cannes Lions, London International Advertising Awards, The New York Festivals and of course, SA’s own Loeries.
